Description

Per AOA Show rules, fleece length requirements for Fall Shows Huacaya Juvenile: Shows July 1 through December 31: Minimum of 2 inches and no maximum Yearling and older: Shows July 1 through December 31: Minimum of 2 inches and a maximum of 8 inches on the blanket, neck and legs. Suri Juvenile: Minimum of 3 inches and no maximum Yearling 3” – 11” (must have been shorn within 380 days of the first day of scheduled judging): Minimum of 3 inches and maximum of 11 inches on the blanket, neck and legs. Yearling 3” – No Maximum (not previously shorn or previously shorn beyond 380 days): Minimum of 3 inches and no maximum on the blanket, neck and legs. Essential Information

Health Requirements

No special testing is required for an Oregon entry permit.
A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) is required for all alpacas going to the show.
The CVI must be dated within 30 days of the last day of the show.
The veterinarian must include any required tests or permit numbers as required by the host state.
Each alpaca must be tested BVDV “negative” or “not detected” using the PCR method.
The CVI must include:
- BVDV test result ("negative" or "not detected")
- Date of the test
- Lab initials
- Testing method (must say PCR)
Do not use separate BVD test result forms — they will not be accepted.
Only the signed CVI is valid for entry at the show.
Review the CVI carefully as soon as you receive it.
Do not wait until the last minute — there may not be time to correct errors.
