Essential Information

Health Requirements

No special testing is required for an Oregon entry permit.
A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) is required for all alpacas going to the show.
The CVI must be dated within 30 days of the last day of the show.
The veterinarian must include any required tests or permit numbers as required by the host state.
Each alpaca must be tested BVDV “negative” or “not detected” using the PCR method.
The CVI must include:
- BVDV test result ("negative" or "not detected")
- Date of the test
- Lab initials
- Testing method (must say PCR)
Do not use separate BVD test result forms — they will not be accepted.
Only the signed CVI is valid for entry at the show.
Review the CVI carefully as soon as you receive it.
Do not wait until the last minute — there may not be time to correct errors.

Host Hotel for 2026:

Caba reserved a block of rooms at the Best Western Premier Kaiser/Salem in Kaiser, OR. Kaiser is just north of Salem. Rooms must be booked by March 26, 2026 to get the CABA rate of $165 for Double Queen and $163 for King rooms. The hotel has a complimentary breakfast and other amenities. It is close to Kaiser Station that has many great restaurants and shopping, and is an easy drive to the state fairgrounds, which is north Salem.

There are other less expensive hotels in the area. However we recommend to stay away from Market street and downtown hotels due to negative reputation. Check hotel reviews before booking in the Market street or downtown area.
